Abstract

Objective: to assess the pattern and outcome of peripheral vascular injuried cases admitted to Menoufia University hospitals over one year, as well as to determine the severity of cases according to mangled score and legal classification. Background:Vascular injury resulting from trauma is a life-threatening condition, which needs longer hospital stays and may result in complications as amputation or even death. Methods: This is a prospective study done on All cases with traumatic peripheral vascular injuries admitted to Menoufia University hospitals over one year from the beginning of February 2022 to the end of January 2023.Both socio-demographic and clinical data were gathered and recorded in a designed clinical examination sheet. The cases studied were classified according to mangled extremity severityscore(MESS) and legal classification. Results: This study included 83 patients with traumatic peripheral vascular injury.
