Abstract
Objectives: to evaluate the effectiveness and complications rates after microsurgical varicocele ligation in comparison to conventional inguinal approach. Methods: This study was a clinical randomized trial done in Menoufia Urology Department including eighty-three patients with varicocele from December 2018 to December 2020. Patients with clinical varicoceles and affected semen parameters were randomized to either conventional or microsurgical inguinal varicocelectomy. Intraoperative and post-operative complications were documented including hydrocele formation, varicocele recurrence, and testicular atrophy.
